Description:

After the Gateways materialised and creatures rained from the skies, the world was forever changed. While places were found for some creatures as workers or pets, countless others still roam the cities and wilds—unpredictable, untamed and dangerous.

In Slay 'n Sauté, players follow the journey of Pauline, a dropout from Cainùr Culinary School with big dreams and unconventional tastes. While her peers cling to their tried and true recipes, Pauline envisions a new culinary frontier—dragon tongue steaks, caramelised slime desserts, and more. She's ready to slay, sauté, and prove that even the strangest creatures can be turned into mouth-watering masterpieces. The rest of the world might not agree yet, but Pauline is determined to win them over—one daring dish at a time!

Slay and Sauté is a narrative-driven, turn-based RPG combining three equal game design elements: combat, cooking simulation, and narrative exploration. Fight mythical creatures in unique ways to harvest special ingredients, cook them into creative cuisines, and explore the world through your interactions with curious customers. With its equal focus on combat, simulation, and exploration, the game offers a seamless experience where players set their own pace—balancing strategy, skill, and discovery.

This game is being developed as part of Abertay University's DES315 Professional Project Module.
